About the Starlite Chorale

The Starlite Chorale is a group of performers dedicated to bringing bright, lively music to our audiences. We travel from a broad area — from North New Jersey to Princeton — to rehearse and perform together.

We sing 2 show formats per year: a “Christmas Show” in the Winter, and a “Great American Songbook” show in the Spring — with a total of about 15 performances each year. Funding from our public and professional engagements enable us to sing special concerts for hospitals, senior centers, and extended care facilities. We also sing benefit concerts, which help churches and other charitable organizations raise funds for special projects such as scholarships and medical needs.

We’ve sung at community New Year’s Eve celebrations, Fourth of July shows, Ocean Grove’s Tabernacle, many churches, and in diner parking lots. To say that we enjoy what we do would be absolutely true.

The Starlite Chorale is a musical family. We are pleased indeed to welcome you to the circle of the Starlite musical family.

Dr. Tony Godlefski feels privileged to be the musical director of the chorale official founding in 1995. A graduate of the Westminster choir College in Princeton, Tony has been musical director of the singing group in one form or another since 1979. Making music but Starlite is, and always has been, were the greatest joys of his musical career. Tony also serves as the senior pastor of the Montgomery United Methodist Church in Belle Meade, NJ.

David Jules is assistant conductor of the Starlite Chorale, leading rehearsals in Tony’s absence, and is the Director of the Starlite Ringers. David is the Director of Liturgical Music at St. Matthew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Edison. Starlight makes its rehearsal hall at St. Matthew’s, and is deeply grateful for the hospitality that David and his gracious congregation offers us.
